  1. First of all my sincere thanks to you for helping me understand the purpose of the class attended. The gratitude I feel for you is beyond words. Couples expecting their first babies have lot of questions regarding their choices in pregnancy and childbirth like physical, emotional, psychological aspects of pregnancy and labor. Nutrition, exercise and intimacy with partner. Partner and doula support. Pushing and what it means. The first hour after child birth. Life with the newborn. Your classes have covered all the above points.

The yoga technique you taught me helped me to relax and be more flexible with house hold work. It will give a great way for expectant moms like me to keep physically as well as mentally fit and active during pregnancy. I especially enjoyed the informal and interactive classes sharing the anxiety and excitement about expecting the unexpected! The class was really useful to remove a lot of unnecessary fears associated with pregnancy which basically arise due to lack of or improper knowledge.

Your postnatal advice and guidance in using of flash card was very useful which made the little angel to point out objects early. I learned so much from information presented in class and could then review with reading the handouts, listening to Cd’s provided, flash Cards and class books which made kasvi bright and very active.

It’s been a rich experience for me to have for the first time, experienced motherhood with the help and support of Mrs. Thillagam Sabapathy. I sincerely thank her for guiding and providing me with valuable knowledge during my prenatal and postnatal class.’

  2. I was extremely fortunate and blessed to have the reassuring support and guidance of Thilakam aunty during my first pregnancy. I was full of doubts and fear and feeling low due to emotional and maternal stress. But Thilakam aunty's tactful, calm and sweet nature made me feel at ease.

The pregnancy care classes were highly informative and prepared me well about what to expect in labor and how to handle things. Meditation, yoga, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques that she taught me were extremely useful.

Prenatal Stimulation was the best part of all. It prepared my mind as well as my hubby's mind for attachment to the baby prior to birth. We're simply amazed at the profound impact of the stimulation technique which made our baby active, attentive, relaxed, smiling and friendly. To see our newborn responding to both of us is sheer bliss!

I highly recommend "The Thejas - Pregnancy Care" to every expectant parent. I honestly feel it could make such a difference if this were known by every parent and also feel that this is the first and best gift a parent can give a child.

Thilakam aunty's advice and insight has been invaluable and the impact she has made on my life will span a lifetime.

The word 'thanks' is too small a word to express my wholehearted feelings.

Aunty ~ You have been an amazing gift to me and I am truly grateful for all your energy and effort you put for the serenity of my family life!

  3. Hai I am Padmaja Felix,

I got married in 5th Dec 2008 and I gave birth to my daughter on 17 Dec 2009 . I Joined this pregnancy care class during my 5th month of my pregnancy. This is very important period for every female and we have to take care ourselves very carefully.

I just want to share about the enjoyment that I enjoyed during this period. I can tell I started enjoying this period only after attending this class.

Let me first list out the various stages of caring about ourself that I learned in this class so that most of you will be benifitted by attending this class.

    1. Exercise:

I learned breathing exercises , Exercise to cure back pain , exercise for normal delivery , correct posture to sit stand and sleep and more that this I learned meditation that will stimulate baby to grow wise.

    2. food to be consumed at this stage:

After attending this class I learned scheduled food system that has to be consumed at this stage. Say for example – the drink that will stimulate hemoglobin in our body and the amount of water to be consumed per day.

And the proper food that has to be taken during postnatal stage that will reduce our weight and increase milk secretion.

    3. 9th month care:

This is very crucial stage for every female . Every act that is done during this stage will impact on delivery so proper food , exercise , Things that has to be taken to the hospital and visualization done at delivery pain time is very important so that we will enjoy our delivery than we scare.
By attending this class I learned much and I benefited much.

    4. Baby care :

Postnatal care is very important in this stage ie how to lift new born baby , various ways of feeding , Breast stimulation and food that has to be consumed by us etc I learned in this class.

Now my daughter Helan is One year old child and I am able to see the difference between the other children and my daughter . She easily mingles with others , very playful , high understanding capacity , conscious , not getting tensed easily.

Please get benefited by attending this class.

Thanks aunty for giving me opportunity to share my views.

    Thanks with regards,

    Padmaja Felix

  4. I'm very happy and proud to share my experience I had with Mrs. Thillagam aunty.
Aunt’s yoga techniques helped me a lot to keep me in brisk and healthy.
The meditation CD was very useful. It helped me to relax myself from working as well as routine life cycle tensions.
Also my baby was in breech position. For that all the physical exercises taught by aunty was very useful to bring the baby to normal position. It gives me an immense pleasure and relief from the delivery period fear and stress.
Materials provided by her are useful to stimulate baby’s brain development. Now he is very active.
Nutrition advises are very effective to gain baby weight.
Aunt’s advice was very useful during delivery also my level of confidence increased drastically and fears associated with delivery were gone.
I'm very grateful to aunts guidance and moral support to get a nice child.
Again I would like to thank aunty for doing Pregnancy Care sessions. I feel its god’s gift to my child.

  5. Aunty thank you so much for your invaluable support and guidance throughout my pregnancy. For every month aunty had a set of exercises and focused on muscles which will help in easy delivery later. These exercises when practiced regularly one can see the difference immediately.
The meditation cd aunty gave me helped to calm my mind and body, which further enhanced my connection with my unborn baby.
Aunty was also patient in answering all my questions and doubts whether in person or over the phone ( which she still does)unmindful about the time of the day.
She was like a mother to me who guided me in every step and removed my fears, worries and boosted my self confidence. I believed in aunty more than myself and she took great care of me during my pregnancy and at the time of delivery, she was a constant support which i really needed at that time.
Needless to say i had a easy delivery which was less painful and i recovered soon as well.
Thank you once again for your invaluable guidance in physical, mental and emotional health.
You are a truly wonderful being and im very happy to have been part of your class.

  9. I searched in the internet and found about this class when i was pregnant. I consider myself very lucky to have found this class. The thejas pregnancy yoga, is a boon to chennai women. The class is so good and it helped me a lot during my pregnancy and during child birth. The physical exercise helped me stay fit and active during pregnancy. It also helped me to deal with pregnancy related discomforts like morning sickness, back pain and mood fluctuations. The Relaxation and breathing techniques helped me to face labour without fear. I think its because of all the exercises my labour was short in duration, i managed pretty well, and now my little baby boy is almost one month old. Me and my husband are thankful to Thilagam aunty (who runs the course) for her help.
The classes are conducted for each woman separately, so that every one gets complete attention and at most care. The timings are flexible. Fee is reasonable (cheaper than other classes). Thilakam aunty has great amount of experience in this area. She is very kind and supportive, she makes us feel like a family member. Apart from all the excitement, pregnancy can be pretty scary for the first time moms. This class surely offers all the guidance and support you need during pregnancy. I will definitely recommend this class to my friends and relatives.

  18. Right from my early days of pregnancy,I wanted to join prenatal classes so I browsed through many options and decided to enquire about Thejas Pregnancy Care. Just one meeting with Thilagam Aunty was enough to convince myself to join the class. I joined around 26 weeks of pregnancy. She makes sure that you are 100% comfortable both mentally and physically through out the course. The classes are customized based on how long you are and also based on the physical condition of one's body. She gives individual attention to every person and the timings are flexible too. The exercises she teaches you are carefully designed in such a way that it helps both you and your baby for the best possible pregnancy experience. As we proceed along the trimesters she alters her exercise routine accordingly. She is always reachable through phone so that we can clarify any doubts we have and she also gives us great emotional support to the mom-to-be. She also provides healthy diet suggestions. Her classes has helped me have a very smooth pregnancy days so far and I am very much looking forward to my labor anytime.

This is one of the most effective and valuable prenatal classes available in Chennai and it's certainly a big boon to all pregnant ladies out there.

  19. It was all by god's grace and the guidance of Thilagam mam that made my entire pregnancy and especially the labour easy and enjoyable. Easy is not the exact word!!! I did not feel any pain during my labour which made it quick and quiet. We entered the labour room by 12 am and my kiddo was out by 12.36am. Oly after my delivery I came to know that with my level of amniotic fluid (5.8, which by the way is very low) nowhere, except for Joseph nursing home, would have opted and waited for normal delivery!!! They kept checking the baby's heart rate and since it was good they were strong in their decision to wait for normal delivery. Special mention to Dr. Rekha Kurian and Dr. Tarun Joseph!! Thanks a lot sir and Mam!!! Coming to the yoga part... It is only because of whatever ma'am taught me in the class which made my labour short and swift. She is a very soft and kind hearted tutor who knows how to train every individual. She gives special attention to each one in the class and makes them feel really comfortable and confident enough to go through the pregnancy happily. Her advice and instructions were the only things that was going through my mind when I was in labour room. Thanks to the breathing exercises and the visualisation exercises that we did, which helped me retain all the energy during labour. The gynac herself mentioned that it was one of the most silent, swift and easy labours that she has done. All the credits to Thilagam Mam who made this precious journey of my life cherishable. Thanks a lot ma'am!!!

  21. As I am entering into the new year with my lovely princess, I thank Tilagam Aunty for giving me a wonderful year 2016. It's been already 10months my daughter is born and I still remember everyday the way Tilagam Aunty used to guide me through out my pregnancy. I live in Netherlands and when I was pregnant in June 2015, I wanted to go for some prenatal classes and got to know about tejas pregnancy care. I immediately called her and the way she spoke to me gave me lot of confidence to come all the way to India and have my delivery in India. I had sciatica , lower back pain and knee pain. But when I Tilagam Aunty started teaching me yoga...the pain got less and I was able to di more movements which is very important for a normal delivery. Above all, the way she speaks is awesome. I just used to forget all the pain when talking to her...sometimes I just used to go to talk to her than really do any exercises. When she says.."no problem kannaa.." it seems like all the problems n pain is gone..such a motherly feel she gives. Everyone in our family knows her and met her. She gave very good guidance to my husband which was really helpful during my labor. And...the exercises she said I practiced even before going to labor and it helped me. It was a short labor and we had a beautiful daughter. Tons of thanks to you aunty!!! You blessed us with love, care and joy. And so we wish you success, health, wealth and a very happy new year!! Love you loads!!

  22. Firstly we thank God for guiding us to meet the bestest in what they do. Since the 1st Trimester we wanted to goto sessions or classes where just not the Natal Exercises are given importance but adds the Spirituality into it and our culture to be imbibed as done by ancestors. Next thanks to Dr. Bhavna Mehta, who suggested to meet Thilagam Aunty as she had received good feedback. We decided to meet immediate weekend. The moment we met her at home, the calmness in her voice and the glow in her face made us feel we are meeting the teacher we wanted to meet. Started going for classes from the 1st Trimester, got a spiritual attachment to her. Not only the exercises, but all the mantras, kind of prayers, the conduct of how to be mother should have, how to start having a strong bond with the child in the womb, how to use the bond to do our best in giving everything to the child right from the; womb to gain intelligence, love, compassion along with the good development of baby.
Thilagam Aunty is God sent gift and the way she speaks n conducts on and off the class, it's from someone your very own family. With the exercise aunty had taught me, was well prepared for the delivery of the baby. Our angel was born on 9th December. Though I had a C Section I was able to walk the second day and got discharged soon. My stitches also healed immediately. Thanks aunty for all that you have done for us. We couldn't have imagined such a smooth transition without you.

  52. Hi aunty.. Roshini here,
I joined your class on the 29th of July and delivered on sept 25th. I joined your class because I had fear toward vaginal birthing and my friend pushed me to try some counseling and exercise. When I joined your class, I had no idea to try vaginal birthing and was quite skeptical because I had only 2 months left for my due. As days passed by, I realized how flexible I had become physically and mentally to accommodate labour. My fear reduced leaps and bounds and on the day my water broke, I had no fear! My water broke at 12:30 a.m. and I delivered vaginally at 10:14 a.m. breathing exercises helped me mentally and physical exercises helped me stay fit and flexible. I owe it to you. Thank you for being my mentor. I hope many more benefit from your sessions.

    Happy news
Blessed with little princess on 22.07.2019 at 11:37 PM
Thilagam aunty is truly a blessing for me in my special time of my life during pregnancy.
During my 5th month of pregnancy I join yoga class with lot of complications and heart broken situation where my baby condition were quick risky.
    1. Baby growth was less
    2. Thyroid
    3. Sugar
    4. Muscle cramps and nerves issue
    5. Piles were immediate surgery required
With all these condition my doctor suggested to meet Thilagam aunty. With lot of confusion and doubts I joined yoga class.
Within one month all the above complications were completed vanish with aunty exercise, breathing, and nutrition.
From Day 1 aunty taught how to start our day with positive affirmations, prayers to god and elder, visualisation, and talking to my baby.
She made me to feel so comfortable, energetic and positive throughout my pregnancy journey.
She always motivate me with her positive advice about pregnancy and motherhood. she made my body and mind relax and refreshed with lot of useful thought on pregnancy.
The guidance which she gave on labour class was amazing. I attended my labour class with my mom and husband. Both of them were filled with positivity with aunty speech.
I had my labour pain i was able to bear my labour pains and contractions very easy with breathing exercise, squats and walking. But my baby suddenly passed her first motion(meconium) inside the womb and I had gone for emergency caesarean.
Even though I had my c-section I am still happy and strong enough to handle the pain. Next day of my surgery I was very active and doctor and others were surprised to see me active and strong. This was possible because of the exercise and mindset.
Now when I look my little angle I will always thanks aunty for being there with me. Aunty you are like a God to me. pregnancy ladies should meet aunty for more easy and smooth labour experience.

God bless aunty with lot of strength, health to take care of many more persons like me.
Aunty my best wishes and keep continuing the good work

All your tips and positivity conveyed during the class helped me deal with the situation without any panic. I got ready and left to the hospital without any tension as you have explained about water break and how to deal with it during the classes. Your dose of motivation and positivity helped me deal with all the pregnancy stresses in a very efficient way! I cooperated with the doctor's and stayed confident throughout my c section and also walked within 24 hours after the surgery. Your support was very important for me during my pregnancy! 66. I am Janani Vinesh, Hi aunty, sorry for a very late review.. took time to settle.
So as i told i delivered a boy baby nrml delivery on jan 28th.
This is my 2nd baby. I joined your yoga to have a smooth nrml 2nd time also. I followed ur excerise and the breathing.

It was a quick labour. Till my due date jan 26th i did not get any pain so got admitted for.inducing on 27th evening 6. And was supposed to be induced by 11 at night. Bt by 9.15pm the pain started mildly and around 11 i checkd with doctor if inducing was needed as i had natural pain
And luckly my pain got increased gradually. I never thought i was progressing very quickly. As i was able to bear the pain til.i was dilated til 6cm. i was jst doing the breathing excersise as suggested by u evertime when i had pain.

But post that i was nt able to bear the pain and asked fr epidural bt docotors asked me nt to take it as i was about to deliver in half an hr and i was moved to labour ward at 4 am. Bt since i cud nt bear the pain i took it bt within the few mins i was shifted to labour ward i was dilated more. Bt still.i took epidural and then had a relaxed delivery at 5.44 am. Thanks a lot for the guidance and positive vibe u give during class. I was jst chanting positive pharases throughout my pain

    Thanks a lot aunty๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Š

Days have gone so fast, am blessed with *girl baby* . I had contraction pain on Saturday morning and slowly it was increasing, so good admitted in hospital. Sunday morning 8.30 am water bag was broken, its still a shock for me as my cervix was perfectly working as expected and by 9am it was 6cm open then by 10.30 it was 9cm open and doctors helped me alot to push baby. But since baby was 4kg, she found hard to push herself out and so we ended up in c-section by 1.30pm.
Both baby and me are fine now.๐Ÿ˜‡

  82. I ,Janani Subramanian had my online yoga and labour management classes with thejas yoga- thilagam aunty from my 6th month of pregnancy, initally she started with mild excercises and taught all techniques and procedures.. Unlike other classes we get a personal touch here as it is one on one. You get to ask the specific ones for your problems.
During my final scan I was told my water level was low and I lost total hope of normal delivery. Aunty suggested to continue the excercises and believe. Surprisingly even after my water was broke I got normal delivery. I had 2 hours of intense pain before which I was doing excercises with aunties call on guidance and I did not have any pressure in the push. The baby was out within a min after full dilation. Thanks for all the clarity she gave through explaining the excercises and explaining the entire labour process to me and my husband, it really helped us manage without any tension.. we were able to make informed decisions. she gave suggestions after every doctor visit and after I got pain as well which gave a very personal touch. She was our go-to person

  102. Hiba's message. Ma'am.. Delivered baby boy today at 5.22 am. It was a normal delivery. Though they induced pain initially the previous night, they removed the propess as the contractions became stronger and my body progressed naturally into labor. Doctor said it would take around 5 to 6 hours but I got completely dilated in an hour and delivered the baby. Doctor was so happy with the progress I made and she appreciated me for being so cooperative. Thanks to you ma'am☺️ I'll call tomorrow.

  104. Kalaiarasi's message Hi aunty! Despite some complications, I have delivered a angel through normal delivery.
    All thanks to you!!❤️❤️
Was admitted at hospital at 4 am having contractions and at 5 am my water broke. Unfortunately, at 5:45 am there was meconium stain in the water. Because of which I was informed that, there won’t be much time available to wait for normal delivery as it depends on baby’s heart beat. If the heart beat drops I have to go for c- section.
Immediately I was moved into the labour room and baby’s heart beat was continuously monitored. At 6.30 am, 4cm was dilated. Then, till 9.30am, there wasn’t any development in the dilation and decided to do surgery.
In between all the chaos called you and took your advice on talking to the baby and telling positive affirmations. This did the magic!!✨✨
Within half an hour, I was completely dilated from 4 cm to 10 cm and my little angel came into this world crying hard.
The moment to cherish, 10 am sharp, The little miracle was into this world ❤️❤️❤️.
I am extremely thankful to you, without you I wouldn’t have done this. Till the last moment you accompanied not only me but also my family.
Ever thankful for all the physical and emotional support you gave.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

  105. Neha Pritham from US. I was induced on Monday afternoon around 9pm, was 3 cm dilated by that time. Used all your breathing techniques during contractions. It really helped me to think beyond the pain and just focus on breathing. The next morning I was only 4cm dilated and later in the evening spiked a fever increasing the babies heart rate. My husband really guided me to relax with all the breathing techniques you taught us. Finally her heart rate came down too. I was fully dilated within an hour and pushed only for an hour and she was out. Thank you so much for your guidance and for being with me till the last step. You are incredible Aunty! Love Neha, Preetham and Piku

  109. Hi aunty , Divya from Australia .
I had a successful VBAC yesterday. All thanks to you๐Ÿ™ Started getting contractions early in the morning at 4:00 am at 40+6 weeks. Went to the hospital at 7:00 am. My cervix was only 1cm dialated, but I was getting regular contractions. So they put a balloon catheter in at 8:30am and asked me to wait for 12 hours for dialation to happen. But I was 4 cm dialated by 12:30 so they moved me to the labour ward. Was having regular contractions, used gas for pain relief, delivered my beautiful little laddoo boy vaginally at 5:30 pm. All the exercises, positive affirmations and mostly breathing techniques helped me cope with the pain. Thank you very much! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  116. Hello Aunty. Bavana, here
First of all, thanks a lot for your wonderful guidance and support and blessing that you have given upon us.
My Doc asked me to get admitted on 24th April night to start Inducing pain as I was not getting pain naturally.
They induced pain three times at the night in span of 4 hours each.
Initially the pain was bearable at night, but after 7am on 25th Mrng , the pain was unbearable and very high.
i was dilated only 3cm at this time
I followed all the breathing techniques you showed me aunty and that helped me a lot with managing the pain.
Did squats and walking also, which was very helpful.
around 11.30am i was dilated around 6cm and then was taken inside Labour Room.
Since i was not able to manage pain, they speeded up process of dilation with some medicine given in IV.
by 12noon i was 8-9 cm dilated and started to push baby out.
Followed breathing as you explained while pushing out. It took me 8-9 pushes to take baby out.
Doctor used vacuum at the last to pull head out quickly as there was two round of cord around baby's neck.
Delivered the baby Girl at 12.07pm.
Really Happy and blessed to have met you and done your classes.

  117. Madhu from TEXAS Hi auntie! I delivered my little baby boy on April 11th at 11:45PM normally. Thanks to your guidance on exercises, yoga, massages, breathing and positive affirmations, all this worked together for the short labor. I had to push for 1.5hrs to get my baby out! As a first time mom, doctors weren't expecting me to deliver as quickly. I'm sure all the pre-natal well-being regimen helped me with the delivery as well as the post partum recovery. Thank you for your guidance and support!

I joined in Thilagam aunty's class after 32 weeks due to my fear for normal delivery though i was doing yoga from 20weeks. Aunty's bed yoga was very effective and easy to continue even after my 9th month till the day of my delivery and even her effective duck walks, labour session conducted was very useful at the time of delivery.
I got admitted on April 25th 2022 at 7am and i was inducted along with baloon catheter and i dialted 2 cm with it and with further inducement of tablet i progressed immediately & dialated till 8cm around 7pm and i was managing the contraction pain by doing aunty's breathing exercises which helped me. Immediately there was a water Break and i was shifted to labour ward and in 20min i was able to push my baby boy out without any fear. Aunty's couple labour session was useful at the time of delivery and my lower back pain and stiffness has gone by doing aunty's exercises for tail bone and i was able to be flexible at the time of delivery.
Thanks to aunty for her wonderful sessions & positive affirmations she educated me & my husband on all topics during our labour session๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—

Thanks a lot for all your support for us. I had my normal delivery by 19th may, 5:27 am.

Thanks a lot for accepting our request at the very short notice. It was very helpful on my delivery period.

Especially with my breathing I was very much suggested to do that during the labour which was easy for me with your training.

My husband remembered your listed points on the labour session and he insisted me to do take long breaths and also he was very positively stating me that our gift is almost on it's way out.

My labour started at 2:30 approx and I delivered the baby by 5:27 mam.

Thanks a lot for you support.

Wishing you and your family a very successful, healthy, happy and a prosperous life mam.

  122. Good evening aunty , sorry for the delayed feedback, hi, I’m Dr Rajathi , a survivor of papillary cancer of thyroid who conceived naturally but had ample of reasons to go into c-section but pregnancy yoga changed everyone’s perspective around me . Though I wouldn’t have known aunty without my OGcian , she built a personal rapport with me and fulfilled my one and only wish of natural vaginal delivery. Though I’m a primi , I had a minimal back pain for nearly 12hrs at home on my yoga session day but had to go to labour room for a check where they said I’m 2fingers dilated and 75%effaced at 4pm when a called aunty to inform her and gain some positivity which progressed to delivery and I was done within 4 pushes with a little help my OGcian helped me with vaccum and I delivered my princess at 0741pm . Such a fast delivery suprised everyone who expected me to be in pain for atleast 12-24 hrs or go into emergency c-section. Initially it was funny for me to talk to myself and give positive reinforcements but it does change your attitude and gives you a happy and smiling baby who is most of the time calm .... love you loads aunty , glad that I got to know a lovely person like you ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜

My water broke at 6 Am in the morning. We reached hospital by 7 and they performed internal examination, i was dilated 2 cms and 50 percent effaced. Head was high in the beginning.
Later they gave tablets to induce pain. I started getting contractions gradually. I kept thinking of the positive affirmations and mind through out the labour.
By 4 PM i was 6 cms dilated and 100 percent effaced.
Baby came out in 4-5 pushes at 5.32 PM. Doctor and the nurses appreciated me for coordinating well and pushing.

Thank you so much for the guidance on all the aspects of delivery and pregnancy. It helped me a lot.
I was very anxious in the beginning due to being overweight. I was also doubtful if i can have normal delivery due to my weight. Your positive affirmations helped me a lot and I kept a calm and positive mind. I did all the exercises you taught in class till the end. It helped a lot. Thank you so much aunty

  133. Hi aunty, this is Alamelu, I delivered my baby boy on 25th of june normally. I am really really grateful for all the exercises and positive affirmations you taught me.

I came to mom's place in chennai from banglore only during my seventh month of pregnance and met thilakam aunty through my sister in law (who was also her student). At first i was really scared due to change of doctor and hospital and it was then i tested as gdm(sugar)positive aswell, which incresed my fears. But after my first meet with aunty I became really confident that I can overcome all the issues. And i followed all the instructions and exercises aunty taught, it really helped me to keep my sugar levels under control for the rest of my pregnency and stay positive.

And even regarding my labour i was really doubtful if i can have normal delivery as i was told that i should deliver during 38th week itself due to gdm. But with the help of all the poitive affirmation I was able to have a induced normal delivery. I was induced on 24th july 4:30pm, pain started at around 11pm, i was dailated 3cm only by 3am. So the duty doctor broke my water and after that i was full dailated by around 7:20 and taken to the labour room and delivered my little bundle of joy by 7:40 through 4 pushes and with the help of vaccum (as my passage for really small for the baby)

I am really glad that i met aunty and followed every instrution and exercies taught by her, which helped me keep my gdm under control and to cope with labour pain and have a short delivery time. I an really greatful to Dr.Merlin (my blore doc), Dr. Thendral (chn doc) and aunty for helping me to have a safe, happy and healthy pregnency. It was the first time i experienced myself that positive affirmations can overcome any fears. I would gladlly recommend Thilakam pregnency yoga to all the expecting mothers out there.

  134. Vaishnavi of Singapore,Hi aunty,

Thank you so much for your guidance. Your positive affirmations, support created so much strength during the whole journey. Initially when I was told I have gestational diabetes, your confidence and change in diet plan helped me control it and ensure the baby weighed normal/ average weight. July 24 morning my water broke and we went to the hospital around 5.15 am the doctor was surprised on how calm and confident I was. Upon checking she confirmed that I was 9 cm dilated. She asked me to do 10 squats in the labour room and in no time I could hear my little one cry. I followed your breathing techniques throughout.

My husband could nt make it as it was much before my due date but the confidence I gained through this class made it all possible. Baby is all fine perfect weight, no sugar/ diabetes or thyroid. My levels are back to normal as well.

Thank you so much for everything. 40 mins in labour with 4 pushes was possible only with your support and guidance.

  136. Sacheetha here ,Morning mamas! Super happy and excited to share that my family and I welcomed our second child (a boy) on 29th august at 8.22 am!

The baby and I are doing well! I have no words to accurately express my gratitude to aunty… ๐Ÿฅฒ I had many doubts through out my pregnancy which aunty held my hand every step of the way just as a mother would! Her experience, guidance and presence is truly an invaluable gift to all of us!

I had a very very quick labour! So much so that my doctor missed the birth of my baby! Baby was delivered by duty doc ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ˜… contractions started at 5.15 am after induction. During which I sat on the ball, did walking as instructed by aunty. Shifted to labour ward by 7 am as pain intensified and very strong pushing urge by 7:45 baby born at 8.22! The entire team at the hospital were shocked at how fast I progressed from 2-10 cm dilation in just over an hour! I want to highlight that this happened ONLY due to the breathing techniques, visualisation and positive affirmations taught by aunty which I did religiously even in active labour! Baby was out in just two pushes! All in all I had a very calm, empowering and memorable birth experience for which I give full credit to aunty and allllll her lessons, advice and techniques!

Thank you thilakam aunty for allll that you do and the way you do it!!! Truly blessed to know you! Can’t wait for u to meet ur two grandsons ☺️ and bless them!

  138. Shruti here. Thanks a lot aunty. It wouldn’t have been possible if not for your guidance.
Sharing my birthing experience with the group…. My supposed due date was on the 19th of October and my last doctor’s visit was on the 12th of October where the doctor stated that it would take more time for the baby to be born and we would have to most probably induce for labour since there was no sign of it yet. For the next couple of days I took help from aunty and followed few exercises such as duck walk, malasana, ball exercises to get into labour naturally. These were a key for getting into labour on the 17th of October. On that day pain started while I was doing yoga in the evening around 5:30PM and the pain progressed. We went to the hospital around 11:00PM and they confirmed that it was real labour and I was dilated around 3cm. The next 3cm of dilation happened over the next 3-4 hours and I was taken to the labour ward around 4:00Am. It was a quick labour and the baby was delivered around 5:30AM without any inducing. The last pushing stage lasted a bit longer as he had chord around his neck. The whole experience was a very emotional journey and I would like to thank aunty for all the support and my husband was a rock through the entire process and made it easier on me๐Ÿ˜Š

My best wishes for all the moms to be!

I kept talking to the baby through out and kept saying affirmations. I kept positive and happy thoughts throughout. Took help of epidural and pitocin since it was over 6 hours since the water broke and hospital staff had recommended to get pitocin if dilations are not progressing as needed. The initial dilation 1-2 cm at admission was quick beyond that it took 6 hours after admission to get to 4 as I was continuously walking , on ball and doing exercises. Pushed a healthy boy out in 1 hour after 10cm. Thank you for all the support. My husband reached you, when I was super low and tired, thank you for supporting

  141. Hi aunty

    My birth story - Manisha

For someone with a history of pelvic fracture and surgery only about 7 years ago, a vaginal delivery felt like an impossible dream come true.
On 31st October at 12:43 am, I delivered a sweet little princess through a vaginal delivery. This was possible with positive affirmations, breathing techniques, determination, yoga exercises and by always remembering Tilakam aunty's words "kanna, stay calm and positive. Talk to the baby, all will be fine."
My labour duration was about 4 hours and I dilated from 5 cm to 10 cm within an hour. I am grateful to her for giving me that ray of hope and confidence to try for a normal delivery when almost everyone else around me suggested otherwise. I diligently followed her exercise routine throughout the pregnancy and kept mentally strong till the very end and had support from my husband and my doctor.
Thank you aunty for everything :)

  142. Hi aunty. Krithika here. So my water broke yesterday evening at 7. But at the time i had no pain at all until 10:45 PM. After that I started having very minimal pain in my lower abdomen. It started coming between every 5 mins. Around 1:30 AM they gave tablets to induce the pain. After that I started having too much pain. After the duty doctor checked they took me to the labor ward with 6 cm of dilation. So the time they shifted me to the labor ward was 3:35. With help of breathing exercises I was able to control the push. And with just a few tries the girl baby came out healthy at 4:06 AM. I just had to stay for half an hour in the labor ward. with the composed breathing i was able to save some energy in between pushing the baby. The breathing exercise worked like a charm. Between all this what helped me stay on track was keep on saying positive affirmations and talking to my kid that he/she will co-operate. And saying positive things. Thanks a lot aunty. It would have been very tough without your help on this. ๐Ÿฅบ❤️

  145. Hello aunty , This is Rishika - a second time mother who delivered a healthy Boy Baby normally under your guidance and unconditional support and love .

Here I am sharing my Birth Story .

On 18/12/2022 at around 10.30 p.m I had started bleeding. I did not panic and just relaxed, told my husband to take our bags and left for hospital. After reaching the hospital they checked for Baby's heartbeat and did a internal examination and said I'm 2-3 cm dialted but the head of the baby is still high above the vertex so they called my OB-GYN and she said she'll be there at the hospital for a scan. I had mild contractions that time.

At around 12 a.m when my Gynaec came and did a scan she said everything is normal and the head is in position. Did a internal examination and I was 5 cm dilated . She immediately instructed to start drips and my contractions started to increase. Since my water bag did not break she did a Artificial Rupture of Membrane.

With every strong contraction me and my husband were only thinking positive, telling myself I can do this , I'm capable, breathing deep , having some fun conversations with the sisters around . When they asked me to start pushing i concentrated on Balloon breathing and after few pushes My sweet little Man arrived on 19/12/2022 at 3.33 a.m . Just 4.5 hours of Labour .

Inspite of having a umbilical hernia after my first delivery, under your guidance I concentrated on posture throughout my pregnancy.

My whole family is very grateful to you for the proper guidance, love , positive attitude that you have shown towards each one of us in Thejas .

Thank you so much Aunty . Much love and good wishes for your healthy life .

  154. Hi.Nivetha here.I heard about aunty's yoga on right time. I had a C section for my first kid and wanted to have a VBAC for my second kid. I called her and got better understanding of pregnancy yoga and it's benefits. I got good encouragement from aunty from the day one. When ever I had doubts or worried of how it will go or if i can really make it she was always there to motivate and encourage me in a way that i can definitely do and thats not a big thing to worry. I used to complaint about a lot of things like i gained more weight will it be hard with the current weight i am and etc but aunty told anything is possible with right effort we put so it's very normal and don't worry about too many things be relaxed. I have given birth to a girl baby through VBAC. It was really a thrilling and great experience I will truly miss your classes auntie and thank you soo much for your help and care aunty.

  158. Hi Aunty :) I delivered a baby boy through instrumental delivery :)
I got admitted at 8:30pm for inducing pain as I almost completed my 40 weeks, but after admitting my contractions naturally started & the doctor said they'll wait till 10pm. At 4am they said I was 4cm dilated and we wouldn't need to induce pain and I was 8cm dilated by 10am.

Throughout my husband kept reminding me & I kept reminding myself 'remember what aunty said, just breathe away the pain'. Finally at around 11am they burst my water & at 1.23pm I delivered. My baby boy. Thank you for being available to guide me through it and even though I wanted to give up, everyone around me reminded your words as well & I could have a normal delivery.

  162. Hi aunty. Priyadarshini here. I delivered boy baby yesterday (May 14) evening 6.44p.m . My due date is on May 14 and I got natural labour pains since 13th morning and it’s intensity increased from night 10p.m , got admitted at 4a.m on May 14 in hospital. Labour pain was very severe with excess contractions. After doing internal check up, doctor said that my mid pelvis is flat and that’s why baby is not descending despite so much contractions. Breathing exercises only helped me bear such severe pain. I also tried to do other exercise between contractions. Even after 28hours labour pain, baby was only just fixed and not descended into pelvis. I opted for epidural at 2p.m. At 6p.m baby’s heart rate dipped, I kept on talking and it improved. Again dipped. They ruptured my membranes to see if it’s meconium. It was clear. They waited for another half an hour. Since it was the same , they took emergency LSCS. Finally in operation theatre, they found it was cord around neck that was the reason for heart rate dipping. Good that the doctor acted at right time to go for LSCS. Sometimes it’s beyond our hands but all happens for a good reason. Thank you aunty for your support and exercises. I had good time with new friends and good experience.

Then i started talking to the baby to support me and said positive affirmations to bear the pain and by 12:40 only I felt straining and delivered at 1:06pm. Thanks a lot aunty for all the support throughout and positive words. 166. Hello Aunty, Krithika here..I delivered a boy baby on 2nd July.. I got admitted on 2nd morning as my water started breaking little by little.. The doctors tried for normal delivery as I started dilating from the previous day itself when my first PV was done and had all signs for a smooth normal delivery.. I dilated completely by the evening, however even after multiple pushes, efforts and episiotomy baby’s head couldn’t come out despite the efforts of vaccum pump and forceps.. Hence, I was moved to emergency C Section..

Baby’s head got injured in the process and he was in observation for 6 days… we got discharged on 8th night, we are recovering and better now.. All the execises, yoga, breathing techniques and positive affirmations you taught helped me get through this tough phase strongly…It gave me lot of confidence and courage…But for your positive lessons right from the day one of class I wouldn’t have been able to handle this..

I’m infinitely greatful to you for all the guidance at all times… Thank you so much Aunty❤️❤️❤️

  167. Hi Aunty, Shinny here.
I’m blessed with a baby girl on 4th July by normal delivery . Thank you for your support and guidance from day 1.

Got admitted on Sunday 39 week as my baby was big. I kept walking, stairs, duck walking, squats and ball exercises in the hospital. Also never stopped eating 6 dates and a bowl of pineapple until the day of delivery

Around 6 pm doc checked my pelvic and said nicely softened and mildly dilated, lets wait for a day

On Monday I was given an injection for further softening of the muscles.

Tuesday morning she did another pelvic exam and said conditions are favourable let’s induce by gel today and was given at 9am followed when I was 2cm dilated

At about 1 pm I was given enema to empty my bowel and I kept walking and stairs as aunty said

By 6 pm I was only 3 cm dilated and started getting contractions 3min apart and taken to the labour room and started induction on IV.

Contractions started to get intense and I kept breathing with my mouth wide apart by 9 I was fully dilated and told that baby’s hair is visible it time for the push.

4-5 hard pushes I met my baby.

All I did in the labour room was being positive and kept breathing

Thank you so much aunty for the guidance and all your positive energy, I kept saying all the happy hormones and the positive affirmations

  168. Hi Ma’am, Khushali from Bangalore.
I’m blessed with a baby boy yesterday by normal delivery . Want to do thank you for your support and guidance from day 1. All your positive affirmations , breathing techniques and most importantly talking to the baby helped a lot .

My water started leaking 2 nights back. Got admitted next morning . Scan was done and my amniotic fluid was very low due to leaking . Doctor then induced the labour around 11am.

At around 4pm mild contractions started . Slowly , contractions started intensifying . I was not allowed to walk or do any exercise and was on the bed throughout as my water was leaking . Chances of baby going through distress was high . As per your suggestion , I was talking to the baby all the time which ensured that baby heart rate didn’t drop .

Around 9pm , I opted for epidural , to ensure I have sufficient energy at the pushing stage . Around 12am , Doctor asked to start pushing . After 6 to 7 pushes, the baby was out .

Throughout my entire labour , I was talking to the baby . As a result , the baby also was Co-operating well which helped.

Thank you for all your guidance .

  169. Smitha Sivakumar here . Please meet Aashvi Rao. She was born on June 11th at 6:16pm in Swedish First Hill, she weighed 3.85kgs at delivery.

I have my whole experience written here - Thank you so much for all your support and confidence ma’am. I owe you a ton!

    Early labor -

My contractions had started at 4am - they were sort of dull at the beginning, I called the doctor she said I sounded very calm even though my contractions were 4mins apart 20secs long - she told me to work through the contractions .. so I just sat on birth ball and continued to time the contractions

I kept calling her every one hour to update on my contraction timings which were getting intense and shorter. I did my laundry, made breakfast, had a bath and got the last minute snacks and toiletries into hospital bag.

    Active Labor-
By 8am the contractions became closer (3mins) and more intense for 45secs long. The doc called just in time to check and told me to come in to see how dilated I was - I was still able to cope the pain so I walked up to the triage from the parking as I thought that could help me dilate too.. I thought I would be 1cm dilated, turns out I was 8cms dilated. So I was quickly admitted and then was asked to take epidural.. I hesitated the thought of epidural but then gave in and rested for about 2-3hours until my dilation went up to 10cms

    Delivery -

By 12pm I was fully dilated
I asked them to put on hand and knees - that did do the miracle - baby moved to +1 level.

I have grade 3 tearing. However I was really surprised when the baby actually came out, I thought I would have to push longer..

Overall thank you so much for all the tips and tricks you have supplied us moms-to-be with during your class! That is the only reason I went in so confidently!

  170. Hi aunty, Uthra here...I delivered a girl baby on 5th July normally...I went to check up on 5th and the internal examination was done for me..I was bleeding a little during internals and the doc was not also fully satisfied with the water level and advised to induce the pain and deliver the baby..we agreed to her and got admitted at 2pm..pain was induced and little contractions started...During that time, I was able to do some exercises like ball, walking, lunges and half squats..my water broke around 7-8 pm and I was dilated 4cm around 9pm and I got intense pain after that.....I was in the labour ward for 15-20 mins and within 5-6 pushes I delivered a baby with the help of forceps at 11:05 pm...Thank you aunty for your guidance and positive affirmations....Your motivation during the classes helped me a lot during this phase... breathing exercise was very helpful to cope-up with the pain...Though I have attended classes only during weekends..I will do it sincerely during those 2 days and during weekdays I will do on some days if I get time from my office work...It gave me strength and relaxed my mind and body.. My husband's role during the pain also made my delivery easy.. It's been a week since I have delivered and I have noticed "happy mom" positive affirmation also helps in feeding the baby..Thank you so much aunty for everything and I am always greatful to you❤️❤️

  174. I am Dr.Swathi Natarajan . I delivered a baby boy last night August 10 ,through normal vaginal delivery. I started having pain after foley's induction @ 03:00 PM on Wednesday. After coming back to room I continued doing deep breathing exercises, squats and birth ball exercises. I was given 1 gel after 24 hours @ 03:00 PM on Thursday and was told I will deliver on Friday morning after oxytocin augmentation. But I was still only 2 cm dilated. With continuous deep breathing and birth ball exercises along with positive affirmations and talking to my baby, I quickly progressed from 2 cm at 03:00 PM to 7 cms @ 07:00 PM on Thursday. I was shifted to labour room and was told I will deliver in 2 to 3 hours. But I quickly progressed to 2nd stage and delivered easily with only 3 pushes within 45 minutes of getting shifted to labour room. Being an Anaesthesiologist myself, I was planning to ask for epidural analgesia but I could easily manage pain with deep breathing and positive affirmations. My obstetrician was so surprised and she told everyone that she hasn't seen a primi progress this fast into delivery๐Ÿฅฐ All thanks to your guidance mam. Owe you so much for this mam๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

She told not to go until back pain starts. I waited till afternoon. After I got pain at around 1, I went to the hospital. My cervix was 3.5 cm dilated. I went to the hospital around 1.30 pm and with 3 pushes my baby boy was born at 4.30. The doctor was very surprised about the flexibility and quick dilation without any induction and epidural. All thanks to aunty for her support and guidance even in the odd hours that I called.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜ŠThank you so much for your timely guidance TV and helping me take the right decision on Labour induction as i had reached the 40th week...

I got admitted in SMF Annanagar on 28th Thursday night 9pm, Labor induced (gel) by Dr.Uma at 10:30pm, severe pain started within 20-30mins (which the nurses told me is less usual), after few hours of intense pain reached 4cm dilation by 2am, and full dilation by 3am and happily delivered my baby girl with just 4 pushes by normal vaginal delivery at 3:30am on 29th early morning.
The entire team of doctors/nurses appreciated me for such a fast progress in an induced delivery.

Big big thanks to you mam. Followed all your exercises as much as i can until the last day (both yoga and breathing) , and proper intake of Pineapple/Dates also seemed to help in the final crucial moment by assisting in fast cervical dilation...

Your guidance was GOLD ! Will always be indebted to you mam. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Wishing all my other yoga friends as well for a happy and safe delivery in the coming days :)

  181. Hi all, Dr.padma Kannan.
Happy to share that I delivered a baby boy on November 7th Tuesday evening 7pm.
I was in my 39th week, and admitted for a planned induction on Sunday night as I had pregnancy induced hypertension.
I developed labour pains only Tuesday morning after repeated attempts at induction by cervical ripening. My consultant Dr Premalatha worked with me very patiently and commitedly thru this process. Aunty’s breathing exercises really helped me in this rather frustrating wait.

I developed labour pains by 9 30 am yesterday and it progressed spontaneously on its own without further intervention. All along I was moving, doing squats and breathing techniques, and it was a life changer.By 3 30 pm, I was 7 cm dilated and shifted to labour ward, and soon after I was fully dilated and delivered the baby in a matter of half hour with 4-5 pushes. No episiotomy was also needed.
I did have some postpartum bleed but that settled. Overall it was a very positive experience and I must really thank Aunty for her guidance and motivation.
Wishing all the mommies to be I met in class very good luck ๐Ÿฅฐ

  184. Hello aunty !!!
I am Rajalakshmi here a first time mom. I have successfully delivered a baby girl through normal delivery in November 7. I was in my 37th week.

My pain started on Saturday afternoon and Kept on increasing. So I went to hospital to get it checked. They told me that I was 2 cm dilated and was in early labour. So I did all the exercises advised by you to speed up the process. But nothing happened. They told me to try more and said we could wait for sometime. So I was there till Monday afternoon. The pain didn't increase and was intermittent. So I was discharged by Monday evening.

I reached home at 7.30 and then I started getting pains again by 10.30. The pain started increasing and then there was discharge and mucus plug came along with it. I went to the hospital again on Tuesday morning 6.30. From there my pain started increasing and then they put me on IV. Dilation from 2 to 3 cm was a bit slow but after that it picked up and I was fully dilated.

Big thanks to you aunty for all your guidance and positive thoughts. My husband did all the things instructed by you and I delivered her in 3 pushes. Thank you so much aunty for your support and breathing techniques.

Thank you so much for everything ❤️

  185. Hi Aunty,
Gowri here. I'm blessed with a baby boy, normal Delivery, 3.8kg ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿงธ. I went for internals on 15th November at 10am - week 39. The doctor after the internals told me I was already dilated by 2 cm and my cervix was soft(thanks to all the pineapple,Raspberry tea and dates from week 36). She asked me to get to the labour ward once I got pain. At 3 pm the same day I felt sharp pain in my back and I went to the hospital at 6 pm, I was calm and relaxed. I was dilated for 6 cm at 12am and they broke my water. The baby was born at 12.55am with 10 pushes. I did the chair exercise and swiss ball rotation as per your advice, which helped to bring the baby down quickly. I took Entonox (gas) which helped me reduce the pain. Thank you for all your guidance and support all through my pregnancy aunty ๐Ÿฅฐ Love you ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜❤️❤️❤️ All the best for pregnant mom's and new mom's in the group. Gonna miss all of you. Keep in touch ๐Ÿ˜Š

  187. Hi aunty :) Harsha here.
I wanted to share with you the incredible journey I experienced during the recent birth of my baby boy. Your guidance and support have played a significant role in making this journey a positive and empowering one.

On December 2, I woke up at 5 am to find that my water had broken, marking the beginning of an unexpected but awe-inspiring journey. Rushing to the hospital, I discovered I was already 2cm dilated at 6:30 am. The doctor confirmed my water had indeed broken and, by 7:30 am, I was 4cm dilated. Without delay, I was taken to the labor room, where the intensity of contractions grew.

Throughout this challenging process, your teachings on breathing exercises became my solace. Despite the pain, I persevered, and by 10:30 am, I had reached 6cm dilation. The contractions were intense, and there were moments when I felt like giving up, but your lessons echoed in my mind, giving me the strength to continue.

By 12:30 pm, I had reached the full 10cm dilation. With focused breathing and positive affirmations, I welcomed my baby boy into the world with just a few pushes ❤️☺️. The joy and gratitude I feel are beyond words.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support from day one. Your guidance in prenatal yoga, especially the emphasis on breathing exercises, proved invaluable during labor. I am immensely grateful for your role in making this journey a beautiful and empowering experience.

Thank you once again for being a guiding light on this incredible journey to motherhood.

  188. The labour was very short aunty. All the nurses were surprised. They took me to the labor room at 10:30 am after enema and IV line and by 12:30pm, baby boy was delivered ๐Ÿฅฐ
No time to even think about epidural or any other pain relief techniques. The labour was quick and fast. Consistently doing exercises without a break helped me a lot. What you do in the 9 months plays a predominant role than what we do during active labor. Since I was doing pelvic exercises, kegel exercises, ball exercises. It helped me a lot during active labor. Helped me to be calm and composed. When the water broke, I felt there was minimal chance of normal delivery. But since the cervix dilated within 4-5 hours, the doctor went ahead with normal delivery.
All credits to you aunty ❤️๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜„

  190. Hi aunty ๐Ÿ˜ŠThis is Bhavna here
I am blessed with baby boy via normal delivery on 16th Dec❤️
I was 39 weeks and had gone for a scan and the reports showed that the amniotic fluid was less and so the doctors had advised me to go for induction the same day. I got admitted on 14th Dec evening at 8.30 and they inserted Foley catheter and by next day at 12.30pm I was 3 cm dilated. Then they had given me 1 tablet for inducing pain in every 5 hours. I was given 3 doses. The whole day I was doing chair exercises, ball exercise ,malasna ,squats, long walking and lots of breathing and taking to the baby and all these really really helped and the last dose of tablet was at 15th Dec at 11.30pm and by 12am I started feeling the contractions which increased slowly and by 2am the intensity of the contraction were very high and wen they checked I was 10 cm dilated and they rushed to the labour ward and at 2.50am by just 3-4 pushes by baby boy was delivered .The labour was really quick and fast. All the nurses were shocked that within 2 hours of the pain I delivered๐Ÿ˜ƒ
All thanks to aunty for all the guidance and support throughout the pregnancy. The positive affirmations and breathing excerises helped me a lot to stay calm. I am immensely grateful to u aunty for always being just a phone call away and making this journey a beautiful one.
All the best to all the mom’s out there and have fun and enjoy this journey to the fullest๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‘
